What's really in JBM BEATZ Goodie Bag??

What it do y'all? Well today I have a special guest on deck, not only do I consider this guy an extraordinary talented beat smith, but also have the pleasure of being a close friend as well. So if you sense a bit of bias my apologies in advance. I have known JBM BEATZ for well over 6 years and I have watched him grow musically, so to have the opportunity to sit down and see whats on his mind is going to be a cool experience. First and foremost, I want to thank you for collaborating with me on my LP. Vintage that was an amazing track you shot me, good looking out. So let me start this session off with our and my first question.

9to5R) Can you remember when you actually realized that you wanted to do music?
JBM: About 6 or 7 years ago.

9to5R) So what is it that inspires you to push the limits production wise?
JBM: Life Experiences and the artist. I try to get to know the artist and build with me from there on concepts and etc.

9to5R) Who are you feeling musically? And Why?
JBM: To many to choose from.
9to5R haha, politically safe answer I see, I can dig that..

9to5R) What is your favorite type of artist to work with when making a track?
JBM: Those that are creative and truly have a passion for music.

9to5R) O.K with the big trades recently in the N.B.A. who would be your Dream Team Studio sessions, who are the top 5 you would pick? And why?
JBM: Honestly, all the artist that worked with on the Goodie Bag Experience project and more. I feel that they are all talented enough to make it on the same levels as the Greats that everyone seems to consider dope. Haha!! It’s just a matter of time before any one of their sounds break on big level. Whether it’s underground or mainstream.

9to5R) So do you think the days of a beat maker/producers ability to make money selling beats are over? If so why?
JBM: No, it’s all about networking.

9to5R) Where would you like to see Hip Hop go in the future?
JBM: I just want to see Hip Hop to continue on. I would also like to see it embraced truly by the working class citizen. It seems like everyone enjoys Hip Hop but not in the office.

9to5R) Are there any projects on the horizon that you’re working on that we need to be checking in for?
JBM: I’m always working on something. You can follow me via twitter@ http://twitter.com/jbmbeatz for the latest updates.
